Where the album is at and where it will be

'Lowering The Tone', our debut album is in the final stages - yes the final final final stages. In a matter of weeks you will have the choice of plucking it from your local record store shelves where it has been encased in CD format or simply 'downloading' it from the very machine you are reading this on now by what seems like magik.

In the run up to the release we'll have a couple of Dublin (yes, we found the road map that goes that far again) gigs to whet your appetites. Details of which can be found here and on our Facebook and Myspace pages in the next few days.

All of which will get you into the rhythm for our weekend of fun in Stradbally and our album launch gigs coast to coast in September.

See you soon...

Rollercoaster.

Don't worry, that's the last reference to Ronan Keating you'll see here but looking at the next couple of months a rollercoaster ride is just what it looks like for the run-up to our 'Lowering The Tone' debut album release.

Keep your eye out for gigs on the horizon through the rest of what is becoming something you can actually refer to as summer and just before the leaves are starting to turn we will be returning to Electric Picnic in early September.

As promised 'Lowering The Tone' will finally be unleashed on music store shelves and whatever they use to display things in the cyber world of iTunes and the like in September with the album launch in Dolan's Warehouse on September 10th.
We have currently got a phone to each ear (all of us. That's a lot of phones.) and a computer keyboard (okay so Tom still has an actual keyboard) under each hand sorting out a jam-packed (mmmm, jam) touring schedule for September and beyond to bring the vibrant tunifications of the album as close to your front door as possible.

Happenings

It was a joyful gig in Dolans last night, so cosy it was like having you all over to our living room (which let's face it, is kind of what Dolans has become over the years) and brought with it the first live perfomance of 'Lionshare', the closing track from our debut album 'Lowering The Tone'. And didn't you just marvel at Jamie, our drummer when he revealed his hidden mandolin skills? Well we did. And do. Makes up for him being Australian. Almost.

As David spake forth last night the album will be launched in our aforementioned 'living room' - Dolans Warehouse on September 10th so be sure to put that in your diaries. You'll have recovered from Electric Picnic by then. And speaking of the Picnic - watch this space.

If you happen to be in the Cork City area on Tuesday, June 22nd be sure to drop into the Old Oak where we will be gracing that music holy of holies from 11pm.

With the album recorded and floating out there in digital space we're looking forward to its physical manifestation, garbed in the eloquent stylings of Ruth Creans artistry (You can see more of Ruth's creations at www.nicedaydesigns.com) and soon to be co-habitating a HMV shelf near you.
